Gardai on mountain bikes are an effective way to have a visible garda presence in the community, approximately what percentage/how many gardai are deployed in this way

REPLY:

There are presently 22 mountain bikes allocated to the DMR South Division. A total of 63 Garda in the Division are presently trained in the use of mountain bikes. Training and the provision of equipment is on-going.
