QUESTION: Councillor S. Crowe

"To ask the manager will he give a report on vacant factory premises and units  that owned by this Council and are available to business in the County to lease or rent?".

REPLY:

The Development Department, through its various activities, plays an important role in local economic development.  It is responsible, inter alia, for the provision of industrial and commercial sites within the County.

The Council supports the extension of commercial and business development both indirectly by providing essential infrastructure and services, and directly by the provision of industrial lands.

The Council at present does not have any vacant factory premises or units which are available for lease or rent.
