MOTION: Councillor E. Maloney

That this Committee supports the provision of  swivel gates , or an alternative, at the entrances to Whitebrook Park, Springfield, to prevent access to  motorbikes, etc.

REPORT:

It is current practice to utilise pedestrian guard rails through pedestrian access points at open space areas for safety reasons. The location of these guard rails is such that the mobility impaired and those pushing buggies have an uncluttered footway and sufficient width to pass any obstructions or other pedestrians.
