QUESTION: Councillor M. Corr

"To ask the Manager to ensure that adequate street lighting is provided on the roundabout at the location of Citywest shopping centre, it would appear that this roundabout is currently badly lit and thereby potentially dangerous to motorists and pedestrians at night time?"

REPLY:

"In the course of a recent inspection it was confirmed that 2 No. of the 4 No. lanterns at this roundabout were found not to be lighting due to being damaged.  The Council's Contractor has been instructed to carry out the necessary repairs to these columns with a view to having all 4 No. lanterns lighting again as soon as possible".
