"To ask the Manager to report on the 2008 Parks Works Programme for the Tallaght South area, indicating any works outstanding, and confirming when these works will be completed?"

The following is a summary of the works undertaken as part of 2008 Parks Works Programme in the Tallaght South Area.

Aylesbury Park Continue footpath improvements in consultation with residents. Completed.
Belgard - Kingswood View Install railings on boundary of open space along main road. Completed.
Fortunestown Lane Landscape roundabout at Sundale Estate. Completed.
Sean Walsh Park Upgrade footpath link from Old Bawn Community School to entrance on Tallaght By-Pass. Order issued to Contractor.
Glenview Lawns Installation of railing around open space and construction of pedestrian footpaths along existing desire lines. In progress.  Site works to be undertaken and completed in the coming weeks.
Woodlawn / Monalea Wood Resurfacing of existing footpaths. Works in progress. Installation of tarmacadam surface to pathways to be undertaken and completed in the coming weeks.  
Bolbrook Park/Villas Landscape improvements to open space. Works in progress. Installation of anti-cycle gate to be undertaken within the next two weeks.
Glenlyon Park, Knocklyon Install slip form kerb along access road and around car park.  Landscaping of undeveloped area under power lines.  Works ongoing. Pending clarification with club.
Parkhill Lawn, Kilnamanagh Landscaping of pedestrian walkway at the end of Parkhill Lawn linking to the Luas and Embankment Road. Works in progress. Installation of public lighting along walkway complete. Installation of ‘K Barrier’ at Embankment Road entrance will be complete by end of year.
Kilakee Court, Firhouse Install public lighting alongside pathway to reduce anti-social behaviour beside this residence. Completed.
Tymon Park, Limekiln Road car park Construction of perimeter wall around car park. Construction works in progress.
Sycamore Open Space, Kingswood Heights Installation of reinforced grass paths to Luas line. Completed.
