MOTION NO. 2

MOTION: Councillor J. Lahart

"That the Council, in conjunction with the Community School, provides litter bins along old Scholarstown Road (between roundabout and Superquinn) and adjacent to the Community School to alleviate the chronic litter problem at this stretch of road."

REPORT:

A litter survey has been arranged for the location in question to assess the requirements in terms of additional litter bins or other remedies. The Council's Cleansing and Environmental Awareness staff will then make contact with the School Management to progress appropriate anti-litter initiatives with the school.
