REPORT OF AREA COMMITTEES

 g) Terenure/Rathfarnham (1) Area Committee (1) - 4th November 2008

At the Terenure/Rathfarnham Area Committee Meeting held on 4th November, 2008 the following Motion was PASSED:-

"That the Committee agrees that each roundabout in the area ought to have a name to facilitate visitors seeking directions and to build a sense of community identity and to proceed with such a scheme without delay and without the need of consultants."

REPORT:

A report on the naming of roundabouts is being prepared by the Traffic Section and is due to be presented to the next meeting of the Transportation Strategic Policy Committee.

It is intended to produce a draft version of this report in early December '08 to allow for consultation with the Elected Members.  A recommendation would then follow to the Council from the Transportation Strategic Policy Committee.
