QUESTION NO. 9
QUESTION: Councillor M. Ardagh
"To ask the Manager to remove the Plane Tree outside (*details supplied). The roots of this enormous tree have raised the footpath and rendered it dangerous to pedestrians especially at night-time. There have been a number of recorded accidents at this location already. The residents are requesting that the tree be removed and replaced by a smaller species of tree - preferably a Rowan Tree?"
REPLY:
The mature Plane tree will be removed and the location replanted with an appropriate new street tree as part of the 2008/09 Arboricultural Programme.
