MOTION: Councillor E. Walsh

"That this Committee notes Application SD08A/0655, to extend the off-licence and build a take away at the site of the Traders Pub in Greenhills and that the provision of a pub, off-licence, take-away and bookmakers only at this site is in stark contrast to the vital community services needed in a neighbourhood centre for Greenhills."

REPORT:

The application  is due for decision on 12th nov 2008. The site is designated as a Local Shopping Centre in the South Dublin County Development Plan 2004 - 2010. In the assessment of the application, regard will be had to the categories of uses linked to the zoning objective - 'To protect, provide for and/or improve Local Centre facilities'
