QUESTION NO. 25
QUESTION: Councillor C. Keane
"To ask the Manager for an update on my many previous requests re condition of Bring Bank site on Grange Road and to state how much longer is this eyesore of a site going be left in this condition, it gives a bad name to recycling. Also to state last action with OPW re location?"
REPLY:
As has previously been reported, the OPW manager of St. Enda’s is receptive to the idea of locating an underground bring bank within the grounds of the park but this is contingent on feedback on the operation of the pilot installation of this type of facility at Sean Walsh Park in Tallaght. This facility has been in place for the last month and the OPW have been invited to visit it to assess its operation for itself and to further discuss its suitability for their park.
The possibility of incorporating the existing bring centre site into the park and the practicalities of transfer of the ownership of the site is being discussed with the OPW at the present time. Members will be informed as to any further progress on this matter.
The site is regularly patrolled by the Litter Wardens for the area with clean up requests being made to the Cleansing section as and when required.
