MOTION: Councillor J. Lahart

"That the Manager outline the action taken to date with regard to littering problems outside Orlagh Grove Shopping Centre."

REPORT:

The area around the Orlagh Shopping Centre is scheduled for street sweeping and cleaning by the Cleansing Crews on a routine alternating basis of once every six weeks. The area is regularly monitored by the Litter Warden and is generally kept in good condition. The local shop owners regularly liaise with the Litter Warden and incidental clean ups are arranged where required. The availability of litter bins around the centre will be reviewed however it is considered that sufficient clean up arrangements are in place at the centre.
