MOTION NO. 8

MOTION: Councillor C. Keane

"That this committee discusses the delay in repairing/having the pitches in Whitechurch ready for play and to give a timescale for same.

– to quote a resident “ pitches which have been destroyed and decimated due to the long drawn out development of the infill housing.” "

REPORT:

The Council's Architectural Services Dept. report that the grassed area in question is still inside the Contractors perimeter fencing and is the responsibility of the Contractor until 'handover'.  It is currently being levelled, stone raked and seeded.  The remainder of this phase of the development is programmed for handover at the end of the month, with the grassed area in question to be handed over when new grass has been established.

The existing full size football pitch is outside the builders perimeter fencing, is still playable and is the responsibility of the Council's Parks Department.
