Proposed Extinguishment of Public Right of Way at rear of 34 St Peter’s Drive, Greenhills, Dublin 12

The following report was considered at the Terenure/Rathfarnham Area Committee Meeting on 1^st April, 2008.

“It was agreed at the last Terenure/Rathfarnham Area Committee Meeting on 4^th December, 2007, that the Development Department discuss the extinguishment of that portion of the laneway immediately to the rear of 34 St. Peter’s Drive with the applicant and present a further report to a future meeting of this Committee.

Subsequently the resident contacted this office stating that due to ill health they would defer making a decision until the New Year.  No further contact has been made to date.” 

Further contact was made with the applicant in May 2008 and following discussion the resident of 34, St Peter’s Drive has now requested that as well as the revised area shaded blue (see attached map) they also wish to acquire the area shaded in yellow (see attached map).  Development Department is prepared to dispose of this area to them if the Area Committee agrees to also extinguish the right of way on this additional area.
