MOTION: Councillor J. Lahart

"That the Committee agrees to prioritise, in the absence of any request for traffic claming from the Knocklyon Traffic Cell, Orlagh and Woodfield estates in this regard and that these estates be assessed for traffic calming and a scheme be designed."

REPORT:

At the Terenure /Rathfarnham ACM held on 4^th November 2003 the Committee selected the Knocklyon Cell (area bounded by Delaford Avenue, Firhouse Road and Knocklyon Road) for the provision of traffic calming measures.

There are no current requests from residents groups in this area for traffic calming measures on file.

It is recommended that we await confirmation from the local residents associations/groups on whether they desire traffic calming measures before an alternative traffic calming scheme is considered.
