QUESTION: Councillor J. Lahart

"To ask the Engineers to examine the footpaths in Longwood Park with a view to repairing those damaged by trees uprooting and to outline progress made to date on those areas where footpath repair is to be carried out?"

REPLY:

Roads Department have arranged for the scabbelling of footpaths in Longwood Park to remove trip hazards. A number of mature trees at the entrance to the estate have caused the raising of footpaths. Roads Dept will consult with Parks in relation to the removal of these trees prior to footpath repairs.
