MOTION: Councillor T. McDermott

"That the Manager relocate the disfunctional and inoperable pedestrian crossing on Taylor's Lane to a location that can be conventially used by the local community. (Pedestrian crossing closest to Whitechurch Road)."

REPORT:

As part of the Green Route improvement works, four signallised pedestrian crossings have been provided at intervals along Taylor’s Lane, between Ballyboden roundabout and Whitechurch junction. The pedestrian crossing in question (adjacent to the filling station) is strategically located to serve the communities on both sides of Taylor’s Lane in accommodating general pedestrian traffic and in particular those accessing the bus-stops and the filling station shop.
