COMHAIRLE CONTAE ÁTHA CLIATH THEAS
SOUTH DUBLIN COUNTY COUNCIL
MEETING OF TALLAGHT AREA COMMITTEE (1)

QUESTION NO 3.
QUESTION: Councillor E. Maloney
"To ask the Manager for an up-date on the provision of a National Archery Range in Tallaght, as proposed by the Greenhills Archery Club?"
REPLY:
A meeting was held with representatives of Greenhills Archers in June to discuss their proposals. It was agreed that the council would examine the parks in the Tymon District to see if a suitable temporary site could be provided initially for use by the club, having regards to the requirements of the sport and public safety.
This process is still ongoing and it is expected that a shortlist of possible sites will be available for discussion within the next month. In the longer term, the club is looking for a permanent facility which is a separate exercise.
