QUESTION NO. 21
QUESTION: Councillor J. Lahart
"To ask the Manager for a definitive timeline on the works to be carried out within St Endas Rathfarnham with regard to the Bring Centre?"
REPLY:
As has previously been reported, the OPW manager of St. Enda’s is receptive to the idea of locating an underground bring bank within the grounds of the park. However, this is contingent on feedback on the operation of the pilot installation of this type of facility at Sean Walsh Park in Tallaght. This facility has only been in place for the last few weeks and the OPW have been invited to visit it to assess its operation for itself and to further discuss its suitability for their park. The possibility of incorporating the existing bring centre site into the park as part of relocating of the bring centre there is being examined by the Council’s Development Department and their opinion will also inform the process. Members will be informed as to any further progress on this matter.
The site is regularly patrolled by the Litter Wardens for the area with clean up requests being made to the Cleansing section as and when required.
