Report on housing construction programme

REPLY:

The 2008 DoEHLG Capital allocation as advised in June 2008 in respect of housing supply in South Dublin County is set out below.

Local Authority :           €75M

Voluntary     :                €7M

Travellers    :                 € 8M

Internal resources:         €12M

TOTAL        :               €122M

This allocation has been examined in respect of the overall housing construction programme and will be sufficient to permit completion of schemes on site, acquisition of agreed Part V properties and commencement of elements of the planned programme.

A full and detailed programme is now being made to the Area Committees prior to the full Council in October 2008.   As members will be aware and as indicated above the construction programme is partly funded by the Council's Internal Capital Receipts, (ICR).

It is proposed to undertake the following works in the Terenure Rathfarnham Area Committee area.
