MOTION NO 1.

MOTION: Councillor M. Corr

That this Council supports the provision of an ice rink in Tallaght.

REPORT:

The Council has had  preliminary discussions with a private consortium who have expressed an interest in providing an ice rink in the South Dublin County Council area.

They have indicated a preference for the Tallaght area subject to a suitable site being identified and made available.

Further discussions have since taken place with the consortium based on their more detailed plans and proposals and further discussions will be held to address ongoing matters of interest and concern to all parties concerned including exact location , access and detailed design.

The Council will be kept informed of progress as the matter develops.
