"To ask the Manager for a report on the new/current planning application (Curved Space) at the Burmah Garage Wellington Lane – referencing previous planning applications and stating current position (total development) with reference to same?"
REPLY:
The proposed development relates to modifications SD04A/018 which was for Demolition of 1 & 2 Wellington Cottages and Filling Station at site between 1 Wellington Cottages and 45 Wellington Lane, Dublin 6W and for erection of 2 storey residential building comprising 6 apartments and single storey mini-market unit with surface carparking and goods delivery yard. Following a request for clarification, 2 apartments were omitted and only 4 apartments and the retail unit were permitted under the application.
The modifications proposed under the current application SD08A/0501 is to replace the permitted apartments with houses. The retail element remains.
There has been another application on the site, SD06A/0953, which was for the demolition of 1 & 2 Wellington Cottages and Filling Station and construction of 1 three storey, and 1 part 2, part 3 storey apartment buildings containing 15 two bedroom units and one three bedroom unit, with surface carpark and associated landscape works. This development was entirely for apartments- 6 of which were omitted by condition.
Neither application on this site have ever been appealed to An Bord Pleanala.
As the proposed development relates to only 2 houses on site, Part 5 would generally not apply.
Under the current proposal the retail element proposed remains.
