Respond! Housing Association on Cookstown Way
As the Members are aware the Housing Department brought a letter from Fr. Pat Cogan, Respond! to the June Council meeting detailing their intention to commence works on the site on July 8th, subject to the finalisation of the legal arrangements by the 19th of June.
The Development Department served a Derelict Site Notice on St. John of God, Cookstown Way, Tallaght, Dublin 24, following an inspection by the Area Engineer and the receipt of his report in which he details his reasons for considering the site to be a Derelict Site within the definition contained in Section 3 of the Derelict Sites Act, 1990.
A Section 11 Notice was served on St John of God Trust Ireland on 19th June 2008 requiring them within one month of the date of the expiration of the Notice to carry out the following works:
- Secure site against trespassing
- Demolish structures
- Remove rubble and debris from site
On expiry of this notice a reinspection will be carried out and if the work outlined in the Notice has not been completed further action will be taken.
