QUESTION NO.2

QUESTION: Councillor J. Neville

To ask the Manager to clarify if the work and time schedule of work commenced at the old M.P.I site on the Main Road, Tallaght is in compliance with all conditions of planning permission SD06A/0849 (work on the site is commencing at 6am some mornings and ceasing at 8pm) and this is causing an understandable inconvenience to nearby residents?

REPLY:

Planning Permission subject to conditions was granted on the 8th April 2008 under Register Reference SD06A/0849 for the following proposed development:

Condition No. 17 of Planning Permission granted states:

"No heavy equipment/machinery (to include pneumatic drills, construction vehicles, generators, etc.) shall be operated on or adjacent to the site before 8.00 hours on weekdays and 9.00 hours on Saturdays nor after 18.00 hours on weekdays and 13.00 hours on Saturdays, nor at any time on Sundays, Bank Holidays or Public Holidays."

Alleged non-compliance with the above condition has been brought to the attention of the developer and the Councillor will be kept informed as matters progress.
