CATHAOIRLEACHS BUSINESS

That the Manager gives a full report of progress to date in relation to the upgrading or requirement to cleanse and maintain neighbourhood shops within the Tallaght area - noting that this matter was raised in November 2007 and it would appear that nothing has been done to address this matter.

REPORT:

We are currently reviewing the Residential Shops in our administrative area.  Architects Department were instructed to carry out inspections on all Residential Shops within our area.  They have visited each shop, however, they only gained access to three of these shops, a report is being issued on these three.   Notices were left in each of the remaining shops requesting the lessee to contact South Dublin County Council with a view to having an inspection carried out on their shop.  On completion of this task a full report will be presented to the Members.
