SOUTH DUBLIN COUNTY COUNCIL

QUESTION NO 15.
QUESTION: Councillor K. Warren
“To ask the Manager in light of an earlier commitment to look at providing a stub wall and railings at the entrance to Ely Estate, just off the Oldcourt Road, to set out the response of the Council to this earlier request and if the Manager would recognise, particularly for those residents of the four houses that live directly on the Oldcourt Road and adjacent to the open space, that there is no separating wall between this busy road and their adjoining property, and given the increasing volumes of traffic at this location, and the need to make the public open space in question a good deal safer than it currently is, if he would now set out the total cost involved for providing for this piece of infrastructure, and in the context of the 2008 Parks Works Programme, if this can be accommodated, and if he will make a statement on the matter?”
REPLY:
Arrangements are being made to have costings prepared for carrying out these works when this exercise has been completed the member will be informed of a time scale for this work as agreed with local residents.
