QUESTION: Councillor E. Maloney

"To ask the Manager when work on the section of the Dodder River at Old Bawn bridge will commence, this in response to the Motion in this Councillors name, which was agreed to at the March, 2007 Area Meeting?"

REPLY:

Work on the section of the River Dodder at Old Bawn Bridge has commenced.

The works involved pruning, felling and removal of existing vegetation from both river banks.  Fencing was also installed along the steep section of river bank.

Further works will form part of the detailed design scheme resulting from the Part 8 proposal detailed under Headed Item H-I (8) and other improvement works at this location.
