MOTION NO 4.

MOTION: Councillor T. McDermott

"That this committee be consulted regarding the study commissioned by the OPW on a masterplan for Rathfarnham Castle."

REPORT:

The Office of Public Works engaged consultants to prepare a masterplan for the future development of Rathfarnham Castle and Park. The consultant engaged by the Office of Public Works is currently undertaking a feasibility study to explore the development and the potential uses of Rathfarnham Castle and the courtyard complex.

It is anticipated that the study will be completed in the coming months.  When the study is complete, the Office of Public Works will be invited to present the proposals to a future meeting Terenure/Rathfarnham Area Committee.
