QUESTION: Councillor M. Corr

"That the manager outline what steps have been taken to tackle littering in the vicinity of the Aylesbury Shops as residents have to endure bonfires and the consequential anti-social behaviour due to litter building up around the shops and the take away in particular and will he make a statement on the matter?"

REPLY:

While additional litter bins have recently been installed at the location, the Council's Environment Dept s intent on working with the shop-owners and the local community to assist them in preventing difficulties in future. Contact is being made with the local community & business to develop plans that will address the issues.
