CATHAOIRLEACH'S BUSINESS

"That the Terenure/Rathfarnham area should be a pilot area for the fitting of anti spill/litter locks on all green bins and that the aim should be, by this autumn, to have green bin locks provided to all households."

REPORT:

Oxigen state that they purchase the Green Wheelbins from Germany and that they are not fitted with anti spill/litter locks by that particular manufacturer. The Green Bin contract is currently under review and is in procurement process at present and this suggestion can be considered for future arrangements.

In the meantime, householders can purchase “gravity-locks” privately and the service provider does not have any objection to private householders fitting these locks to their green wheelbins.
