QUESTION NO. 2
QUESTION: Councillor M. Ardagh
"To ask the Manager if the kerb at (details supplied) has been lowered to facilitate an elderly resident?"
REPLY:
The area has been inspected. The kerb at the entrance pathway has been previously lowered. The pathway is now at the same level as the adjacent roadway.
If the resident wishes to lower the remainder of the kerb to create a driveway this will need to be arranged privately. If the resident so wishes, they should make an application (and pay the appropriate fee) to the Roads Department before any works are arranged. The need for planning permission should also be confirmed with the Council's Planning Department.
