MOTION: Councillor C. Keane

"That the Manager bring forward a report outlining the initiatives the Roads Department intend taking to alleviate parking problems that will arise / and indeed are arising daily in the Woodlands/Castleside area -  and will be exacerbated  further as a result of the development of the new playground at Rathfarnham Castle - particularly in the Woodlands/Castleside."

REPORT:

Subject to consultation with local residents, it is proposed to manage the parking situation at The Lakelands and The Woodlands through the use of controlled parking as used on Castleside Drive. This will include the use of double yellow lines, resident permits and pay parking (on street).  The layout will then be included in revised Control of Parking Bye Laws.
