QUESTION NO 1.

QUESTION: Councillor J. Neville

" To ask the Manager to consider the provision of a cycle lane in Tymon Park, which would be a major asset for recreational users of the park?."

REPLY:

The Council’s strategy document for the provision of connected walking and cycling routes through parks, open spaces and roads entitled “Green Routes in South Dublin County” was presented at the Council Meeting on April 10th, 2007.  This report outlines a proposal to develop a cycle route which would connect through parks, open spaces, industrial estates and roads along the M50 and would include Tymon Park.  This proposal has not yet progressed to the detailed design stage and does not have an identified funding source at present.
