QUESTION NO 7.

QUESTION: Councillor E. Walsh

"To ask the Manager if there is any devise that can, without much cost, secure the lids of bins during windy weather when many bins fall over and the contents are strewn all over the place and must cost this Council a lot to clean up the mess and the green bin is most likely to be toppled over since they are collected every two weeks and are very light?"

REPLY:

Since the introduction of the fortnightly service this matter has come to the fore. The suggestion has been passed on to the Contractor amongst other suggestions and issues raised for consideration and a report  on the feasibility of such a measure given is awaited.
