QUESTION: Councillor E. Walsh

"To ask the Manager for a progress report on the proposed changing facilities in Tymon North Park for Greenpark FC and Limekiln Rounders and will he make a statement on the issue?"

REPLY:

During 2007, the Parks Department initiated an “Expressions of Interest” process at national and EU level with a view to securing a firm to provide a Design and Build Service for the proposed changing facilities in Tymon Park for the sports clubs that comprise TASC (Tymon Athletics Sports Club) of which Limekiln Rounders and Greenpark FC are members. 

Arising from this process two firms have been short listed for submission of tenders to undertake the project.  The County Architect has recently completed the guideline layout drawings for the proposed building and will finalise the detailed specification as soon as possible.  The Parks Department will then be in a position to issue tender documents to the short listed firms for submission of their tenders.
