QUESTION: Councillor E. Walsh

"To ask the Manager to arrange a clean up of the open area in Temple Manor Estate where beer cans, bottles etc are littering the area and to take measures to curb this littering?"

REPLY:

The planned installation of two litter bins in the area have been delayed by objections to the specific location of the litter bins but this should be rectified at a forthcoming meeting with residents.  Additionally, the Litter Warden will provide materials for a clean-up should the residents be willing to organise it and will also continue to monitor this area.
