COMHAIRLE CONTAE ÁTHA CLIATH THEAS
SOUTH DUBLIN COUNTY COUNCIL
MEETING OF TERENURE-RATHFARNHAM AREA COMMITTEE 2

QUESTION NO. 5
QUESTION: Councillor E. Walsh
"To ask the Manager to arrange for a litter clean up at the gate to St. Paul's Secondary School and the small stretch of road leading to Temple Manor Grove and to take whatever action that is require to stop the littering?"
REPLY:
The Litter Warden has been in contact with local residents in the area on an ongoing basis and it appears that the primary cause of littering in this location is caused by schoolchildren. The planned installation of two litter bins in the area have been delayed by objections to the specific location of the litter bins but this should be rectified at a forthcoming meeting with residents. Additionally, the Litter Warden will provide materials for a clean-up should the residents be willing to organise it and will also continue to monitor this area.
