QUESTION NO. 3

QUESTION: Councillor J. Lahart

"To ask the Manager to present a brief report on the anticipated disruption in Orlagh Grove, Woodfield, Prospect manor, and so on, in respect of the Boherboy Water Scheme and to give a timeline for when these works will impact on the estate?"

REPLY:

The Project Engineer has reported that a schedule of works in relation to the Scheme has not yet been received from the Contractor. This is expected to be drawn up in the near future.However in relation to the locations mentioned in the question it is not expected that these areas will be effected for the early part of the Scheme. It is unlikely that works will take place in these areas during the first 6 months after the commencement of works i.e before September 2008.  It is proposed to organise leaflet drops in  advance to all relevant affected households along the route of the Scheme as it progresses.  There will also be regularly updated information on the Scheme website when it has been set up.  It is proposed that the website will be available through a link on the Councils own main website page.
