MOTION: Councillor T. McDermott

"That this meeting discuss, with the aid of a report from the Manager, the chronic car parking problem in the vicinity of Rathfarnham Village and Castle with a view to implementing an action plan to conclusively and comprehensively solve the problems."

REPORT:

The area next to the castle in Rathfarnham village has been inspected and is included in the review of the Control of parking byelaws. The provision of yellow lines and / or pay and display parking can be considered to restrict parking in this area adjacent to the current Pay and Display area. It is intended to meet with local resident groups in order that the most acceptable arrangement is progressed.
