"To ask the Manager for an update on the progress of the Planning Permission for the proposed Shopping Centre at St. James Road and will he make a statement on the issue?"
REPLY:
It is assumed that the development referred to relates to planning application: SD07A/0062. This application was received on 30/01/2007 from McHugh Management Company Ltd., for the following development at the site of former, Greenhills Shopping Arcade, St. James' Road, Dublin 12:
Three storey over basement mixed use development consisting of a basement level car park and storage 2005sq.m. Ground floor level of 1251sq.m. incorporating access to the apartments, 7 no. retail units and a medical centre; two storeys of residential units over, housing 3 no. 1 bed units, and 12 no. 2 bed units; area 757sq.m. first floor and 746sq.m. at second floor; provision of private and public amenity space, formation of new vehicular access and car parking at forecourt, and vehicular access (delivery) at rear and new boundary treatment.
On the 25-Apr-2007 the Council issued a grant of permission in respect of this development.
A commencement notice has been received in respect of this application on 11th January 2008, which indicates that the development is to start on 28th January 2008.
