MOTION NO. 1

MOTION: Councillor E. Maloney

That the Manager instruct the owner of the derelict/dangerous cottage on the Old Greenhills Rd., Tallaght to reinstate the property, or to arrange the transfer of its ownership to this Council.

REPORT:

The Council’s Engineer has been instructed to carry out an inspection of this property and issue a report stating whether he considers the site to be derelict, within the definition contained in the Derelict Sites Act, 1990.  If the site is found to be derelict, the owner will be issued with a Notice outlining the works which must be carried out in order to render the property non-derelict.

This matter has also been referred to the Dangerous Buildings Section, Architects Department requesting them to carry out an inspection under the Sanitary Services Act, 1964.
