QUESTION: Councillor K. Warren

'to ask the manager what progress, if any, have been made in relation to the development of an ice rink for the Tallaght area,whether seasonal or permanent and any discussions that may have taken place with interested parties and can he make a statement on the matter?'

REPLY:

The Council has entered preliminary discussions with a consortium regarding the provision of an ice rink within the County area following an approach by them for a suitable location. These were initial fact finding talks and are subject to further discussions based on detailed submissions and proposals from this group.

Should the proposal progress the members will be kept informed.
