MOTION NO 4.

MOTION: Councillor T. McDermott

"That this meeting discuss the unwarranted delay in opening the pedestrian bridge between Prospect Manor and Edmonstown Road."

REPORT:

The pedestrian Bridge over the Owendoher River at Prospect Manor, Edmonstown has been the subject of Enforcement proceedings by the Planning Department. As a result of this action, the developer is in the process of completing the bridge  and has indicated that the works to the bridge will be completed shortly following which it is proposed to offer the bridge for taking in charge by the Parks Department.

The taking in charge of the bridge will be subject to the satisfactory completion of the works which include repairs to the rails, installation of a traffic barrier on Edmonstown Road, connection of footpaths to the bridge and an independent engineering assessment of the structure.
