QUESTION: Councillor P. Cosgrave

"To ask the Manager to have street lighting put in place at the green area and pathway at the side of house 51 Aranleigh Gardens that might stop any anti social behavior in the area?"

REPLY:

The provision of street lighting is not always a positive solution in addressing issues of anti-social behaviour on public open spaces and has in some instances caused increased attraction for perpetrators of anti-social behaviour. The resident should be advised to make direct contact with the Parks Department and Public Lighting Department to discuss and explore options for addressing the issue.
