REPORT OF THE ORGANISATION, PROCEDURE AND FINANCE COMMITTEE, 24th January 2008
Filling of Vacancies on Various Committees
At the Organisation, Procedure and Finance Committee Meeting held on 24th January 2008 the following nominations were AGREED:
1. Appointment of Chairperson to Local Traveller Accommodation Consultative Committee
It was proposed by Councillor M. Corr, seconded by Councillor B. Gogarty and AGREED:
“That Councillor G. O’Connell be appointed as Chairperson of the Local Traveller Accommodation Consultative Committee.”
2. Filling of Vacancy on the HSE Dublin Mid-Leinster Regional Health Forum following the Resignation of Councillor R. Dowds from the Forum
Councillor G. O’Connell was proposed by Councillor R. Dowds, seconded by Councillor Ridge.
Then Councillor C. Keane was proposed by Councillor J. Hannon, seconded by Councillor J. Lahart.
It was AGREED by show of hands that Councillor G. O’Connell would fill the vacancy on HSE Dublin Mid-Leinster Regional Health Forum resulting from the resignation of Councillor R. Dowds.”
3. NOMINATION TO CHAIR OF TERENURE/RATHFARNHAM AREA COMMITTEE FOLLOWING RESIGNATION OF COUNCILLOR S. LAING
It was proposed by Councillor T. Ridge, seconded by Councillor K. Warren and AGREED:
“That Councillor C. Brophy be appointed to the Chair of the Terenure/Rathfarnham Area Committee.”
4. NOMINATION TO THE SOUTHERN AND EASTERN REGIONAL ASSEMBLY
It was proposed by Councillor T. Ridge, seconded by Councillor K. Warren and AGREED:
“That Councillor C. Brophy fill the vacancy on Southern and Eastern Regional Assembly.”
5. FILLING OF VACANCY ON TRANSPORTATION SPC AND APPOINTMENT OF CHAIRPERSON
Immediately before this item was considered Meeting Administrator advised of the written resignation of Councillor K. Warren from the Sports, Recreation, Community & Parks SPC.
It was proposed by Councillor T. Ridge, seconded by Councillor M. Corr and AGREED:
“That Councillor K. Warren fill the vacancy on the Transportation SPC”
It was proposed by Councillor T. Ridge, seconded by Councillor M. Corr and AGREED:
That Councillor K. Warren be appointed as Chairperson of the Transportation Strategic Policy Committee.”
6. NOMINATION TO THE MEATH FOUNDATION OF TALLAGHT HOSPITAL
It was proposed by Councillor M. Corr, seconded by Councillor T. Ridge and AGREED:
“That Councillor E. Maloney be appointed to Board of the Meath Foundation, Tallaght Hospital.”
