MOTION NO. 5

MOTION: Councillor G. O'Connell

That this Council write to the Minister for Health and to the HSE demanding that appropriate action be taken immediately so that medical and support services, at local regional and nation levels, for persons with CF be provided to the highest international standards as a matter of urgency and that the letter be copied to all other County and City Councils requesting their support. 

REPORT:

If the motion is passed by the members the Meetings Administrator will arrange to issue correspondence to the Minister for Health & Children, and the HSE outtlining the members' sentiments. When a reply to such correspondence is received the members will be notified accordingly.

Similarly, if the motion is passed the Meetings Administrator will circulate details of the members' motion to all other City and County Councils requesting their support.
