"To ask the Manager to list the schools in the Terenure Rathfarnham area that have acquired the Green status?"
REPLY:
Thirty five schools in South Dublin County have been awarded the Green Flag - four secondary schools and thirty one primary schools. In addiction 66% of secondary schools and 74% of primary schools in the County have registered for the Green Schools programme.
In the Terenure Rathfarnham area, there are ten secondary schools - six of which are registered for the Green Schools programme and three with Green Flags. There are nineteen primary schools - twelve of which are registered for the Green Schools programme and four with Green Flags.
A Green schools netwrok was hosted by the Council for the first time this year in Novemeber and it is planned to do this on twice yearly basis.
