Boherboy Water Supply Scheme - Commencement of Works

REPORT:

At the meeting of the Committee held on the 13th June 2006 a report on the proposed Boherboy Water Supply Scheme was noted. (Minute No. TR/490/06 refers). http://intranet/cmas/documents/87330_Minutes%2013June06%20.doc

Since the meeting tenders were invited for the construction of the Scheme. The successful tenderer has been appointed,the legal formalaties have been completed and the necessary staff infrastructure has been put in place.

It is proposed to commence works on site in January 2008. A Newsletter outlining details of the works has been prepared and will be distributed to approximately 20,000 homes along the general route of the scheme.Details will also be posted on the Council's website.

It is expected that the works will be completed within 2 years.
