QUESTION NO. 6

QUESTION: Councillor J. Lahart

"To ask the Manager to consider the provision of a footpath on the eastern side of Scholarstown road adjacent to the Rookery estate?"

REPLY:

The provision of a footpath on the Scholarstown Road from the Rookery to the new roundabout would involve the aquisition of land as there is currently not enough space for a path. There is however an existing  path on the other side of the road with signallised pedestrian crossings at the roundabout and at the Knocklyon Road/Scholarstown Road junction. It is not proposed to construct a path at this location.
