QUESTION: Councillor M. Corr
To ask the Manager approximately how much undeveloped land this council owns in the Tallaght South ward and to outline its designated use per the County Development Plan?
REPLY:
Disregarding the minor plots within the area, the Council is registered to 489 acres of “undeveloped” lands within the Tallaght South Ward. Although these lands are currently not utilised by the Council, large sections of these lands are leased on a yearly basis by Temporary Letting Agreements and Grazing Agreements. In accordance with their zoning within the current County Development Plan, the lands can be broken down as follows:
Lands Zoned “A1”
(To provide for new Residential Communities in accordance with approved Area Plans)
Rathcoole.
Stocking Lane, Rathfarnham.
Killinarden.
TOTAL 80 acres
Lands Zoned “B” -
(To protect and improve Rural Amenity and to provide for the development of Agriculture)
Stocking Lane.
Friarstown.
Corbally Hill, Saggart.
Edmondstown.
Killinarden.
TOTAL 179 acres
Lands Zoned “F”
(To preserve and provide for Open Space and Recreational Amenities)
Kiltipper.
Killinarden.
TOTAL 137 acres

(To protect and enhance the outstanding natural character of the Dublin Mountain Area)
