MOTION NO. 9

MOTION: Councillor M. Ardagh

"That the Manager report on the recent site meeting with members of the community and the Whitechurch Building Committee and to ask if any concerns in relation to the community centre were raised by the residents at the site meeting."

REPORT:

A site meeting was held on Tuesday the 22^nd November 2007 attended by members of the County Council, Tallaght Youth Services, Building Committee members and three Council Officials.

At this meeting there was a concern that not all relevant groups were invited to a meeting to be held on the 29^th November.

The purpose of this meeting ON THE 29^TH was to form a Management Committee for the new centre. It was established that only one group had not been invited. After the site meeting the matter was rectified and this group was invited to the Thursday night meeting.

A further site meeting for those who where unable to attend the Tuesday meeting is to be arranged.
